Rakuten Inc., the Japan’s leading e-commerce company in collaboration with the Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), is organizing an exhibition from 12 Nov to 9 Dec, to promote products sold by 29 selected Japanese merchants in Grand Indonesia, Jakarta as well as through its Indonesian platform, Rakuten Belanja Online (RBO).
This initiative was in line with METI’s Cool Japan Strategy Promotion Program’s objective, helping Japanese merchants expand into Indonesia’s growing e-commerce market, which is expected to become the largest e-commerce market in ASEAN.
According to Ryota Inaba, the CEO and President Director of RBO, the program helps to enhance Indonesian consumer’s interest towards Japanese culture and products while providing a platform for Japanese businesses to develop future business plans for the Indonesian market.
