DiGi becomes the first telco to offer free Twitter in the country

MALAYSIA: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (DiGi) has announced its latest feature for new and existing DiGi Easy Prepaid customers, allowing them to enjoy Twitter service via the DiGi-Opera Mini browser. To start using Twitter over Opera Mini, customers can opt for the 1 Hour Free Twitter or 1 Day Twitter at RM1.00.

DiGi introduced DiGi-Opera Mini browser in May 2011 and resulted in good response. As of September 2011, DiGi’s market share in terms of Opera Mini users has grown from 32 per cent to 38 per cent. Customers can download the DiGi-Opera Mini browser directly to their phones from http://m.opera.com or SMS “OPERA” to 2000 for the download link.
