AmBank Group and Huawei Forge Collaboration to Advance Sustainability Goals Through Innovative Solutions

AmBank Group and Huawei Technologies Malaysia have signed an MoU to jointly pursue sustainability initiatives, including solar energy and electric vehicle charging infrastructure. This collaboration enables Huawei dealers to access financial support, preferential banking services, and attractively priced Huawei products. The partnership aligns with AmBank’s commitment to fostering positive change and responsible banking practices.


17 August 2023 – AmBank Group and Huawei Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance their mutual sustainability goals. The partnership will focus on implementing solar energy, green data centers, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and energy storage solutions.

Under the MoU, AmBank will offer financial support and merchant business solutions to Huawei dealers. This includes access to specialized business deposit current account bundles with attractive fixed deposit promotions and special interest rates. Additionally, Huawei dealers will benefit from credit card terminals featuring exclusive merchant discount rates.

AmBank’s dedicated relationship managers will provide personalized assistance and expedited loan processing for Huawei dealers. Furthermore, customers of these dealers will enjoy preferential pricing on select Huawei products and can take advantage of zero percent easy payment plans for up to 36 months.

The MoU signing coincided with AmBank’s International ESG Conference, which drew participation from around 500 attendees. This event underscores AmBank’s commitment to sustainability and its role in fostering responsible banking practices in the region. AmBank’s CEO, Dato’ Sulaiman Mohd Tahir, highlighted the institution’s dedication to driving social and economic growth in communities, extending beyond traditional banking services to empower positive and lasting change.
