Zendesk launched mobile customer portal

The leading provider of proven, cloud-based customer service software, Zendesk (www.zendesk.com) has unveiled its new mobile customer portal which is offering faster, enhanced access to an organization’s help center across any mobile device, including i{hoe, Android, Blackberry and Windows Phone.

his new portal was initiated due to the trend of users shifting to mobile. Zendesk found more than 87 per cent of the world’s population using mobile devices and the majority of adults are using smartphones more than any other devices to access the web. The new portal currently has empowered more than 20,000 businesses that using Zendesk to engage their more than 100 million customers today.

Zendesk CEO Mikkel Svane said that customers can use their phone to go onto Twitter or Facebook to complain about the service they’ve received, but not necessarily to get the help they immediately need. “Our new mobile customer portal resolves this dilemma by offering a smooth, user-friendly, and effective self-service customer experience”, Syane added.

According to Zendesk VP and MD of APAC Michael Hansen, Zendesk has penetrated into Asia market and majority of their customers come from Indonesia, Japan, China, Korea, Singapore and Philippines. Michael said the company is planning to set up offices in Melbourne, Manila and Singapore to provide more support to its Asian customers and to strengthen their foothold in this market too.
