Kaspersky’s Secur’IT Cup 2023: Unleashing Young Cybersecurity Innovators to Shape a Safer Digital Future

Young cybersecurity enthusiasts and students with a passion for creating a safer digital world are invited to participate in the Secur’IT Cup 2023, an international competition organized by Kaspersky. The event, now in its sixth year, encourages participants to tackle emerging security challenges posed by modern technologies and offers substantial rewards for top ideas and projects.


15 September 2023 – Kaspersky, a global leader in cybersecurity, has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the Secur’IT Cup, an international competition designed to address the security challenges arising from the rapid advancement of technology. The competition is open to motivated students and young cybersecurity researchers who aspire to make a positive impact on the digital landscape. Participants can enter as individuals or teams.

In today’s fast-evolving technological landscape, new digital pathways bring about fresh security concerns. Kaspersky, known for its commitment to countering cyber threats, has been at the forefront of sharing expertise with the community, particularly with the youth who represent the future of cybersecurity.

The primary objective of the Secur’IT Cup is to nurture young talent and support their professional development. Participants are encouraged to propose innovative security solutions in the following fields:

  1. Gaming & Geeks: Develop reliable and inventive security solutions to enhance the safety of the gaming world and increase the efficiency of gadgets.
  2. FinTech: Create cyber defense projects tailored for the financial industry to safeguard people worldwide from cyberattacks and financial crimes.
  3. Tracking & Security of People and Things: Offer projects that secure data protection and legitimate tracking and collection of information.
  4. Family Care: Encourage contenders to devise projects related to Elderly Care or Pet Care.

The competition will span four main stages:

  • Idea Development (October 2, 2023, to October 15, 2023)
  • Business Model Creation (October 16, 2023, to October 29, 2023)
  • Prototype Design (October 30, 2023, to November 12, 2023)
  • Idea Finalization (November 13, 2023, to November 26, 2023)

Each stage will receive dedicated support from the Kaspersky team, including webinars and expert advice to help participants refine their projects.

Additionally, there will be a regional stream of the contest, allowing students to engage in local events and qualify for the global finals with the best projects. The final event, where participants will present their projects, will take place online on December 13, 2023.

Prizes for the competition include $10,000 for the first-place winner, $3,000 and an e-learning training package for the second-place team, and an e-learning training package for the third-place team.
