Entrepreneur Development Ministry Empowers Entrepreneurs with RM38.8 Million Grants in Negri Sembilan

The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry is granting RM38.8 million in business assistance to entrepreneurs and cooperatives in Negri Sembilan. The initiative aims to foster an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem, provide exposure to programs and initiatives, and empower entrepreneurs at the state level. The allocation coincides with the Negri Sembilan Fest, where local entrepreneurs and food operators showcase their unique flavors.


NILAI, 23 June 2023 – The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry has announced the allocation of RM38,779,995 in grants and business assistance to support entrepreneurs and cooperatives in Negri Sembilan.

In collaboration with SME Bank, Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia, SME Corp Malaysia, TEKUN, SKM, and Bank Rakyat, this initiative aims to foster an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem and provide exposure to programs and initiatives of ministries and agencies.

The funding has been directed towards the Madani Entrepreneurs and Cooperatives Tour program (PJUKM 2023) in conjunction with the organization of the Negri Sembilan Fest (NS Fest 2023).

The PJUKM initiative, launched by the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry, is designed to empower entrepreneurship at the state level and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs.

Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick emphasized the importance of this program in fostering an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem while providing exposure and information regarding various programs and initiatives.

The NS Fest 2023, officiated by Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun, aims to attract 500,000 visitors during its duration from June 22 to June 25.

The state government, in collaboration with the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry, the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry, and the Rural and Regional Development Ministry, is focused on providing opportunities and a platform for entrepreneurs, farmers, breeders, and fishermen to expand and improve their businesses.

Among the highlights of the festival is the NS Food Fest, showcasing unique and distinctive flavors from 45 local entrepreneurs and food operators in the state. This event not only promotes local businesses but also offers a wide range of gastronomic experiences for visitors. – source: bernama
