Five illegal online gambling premises masquerading as cyber cafes were raided by police this week in Sarawak. Total of 23 persons were nabbed and 67 computers were seized by the police in the operation and will be investigated under the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953, The Borneo Post reported.
According to the police, these premises were securely locked an equipped with close-circuit television (CCTV) and only regular customers are allowed to enter. Besides, the customers will be provided with free food and drinks to keep them happy so they can stay longer.
