Aug 16, 2013 (Fri): Bangko Sentral Ng Pilipinas (BSP) on Thursday announced the personal remittances from overseas Filipinos for first half of year 13 totaled US$11.8 billion (RM38.68 billion), a 6.2 per cent increase if compared with the same period last year. BSP said that United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Canada, and Japan were the major sources of cash remittances and these countries accounted about 74.8 per cent of the total cash remittances.
