Maxis introduces Location-based Advertising to bring effective advertising result to marketers

Tue, Jun 18, 2013: Maxis Berhad (Maxis) has launched its new Location-based Advertising (LBA), a service for brands and advertisers to reach out to Maxis myDeals customers at the right place and time using cell location technology.

With LBA, Maxis and Hotlink customers who are members of will receive a free SMS notification about a promotional offer when they are nearby to the place where the offer is being offered. Currently, the LBA is available in over 15 participating shopping destinations, including Mid Valley Megamall, 1 Utama, Sunway Pyramid, KLCC, Pavilion, The Curve, KLIA, LCCT and Genting Highlands. Maxis aims to make LBA to be available in over 25 destinations throughout Malaysia by end of 2013.
