Malaysian now tends to shop online, 90 per cent buy online more than twice

KUALA LUMPUR: Vice President and General Manager of Groupon South East Asia and India, Joel Neoh said Groupon Malaysia is targeting to increase its current subscribers of 1.5 million to 2 million by end of this year.

The leading group buying website offers products at discounted prices from four main categories which are food and beverage, beauty products, recreational activities and services. Group Malaysia also helps charity organization to raise fund through their donation campaign like how they did for World Vision under “Donate RM10 for Nutritious Food for a Child and Family in Asia” campaign which collected RM110,040 throughout the campaign.

Joel added that people in Malaysia now tend to shop online with 90 per cent of them making their online purchase more twice. “Majority of our subscribers are from Kuala Lumpur,” he said.

In recent news, Groupon Malaysia have penetrated into East Malaysia to attract more subscribers from that region and have launched mobile application for Android users for its customer to purchase flash deal conveniently via mobile devices.
