KSOS 2 helps small businesses away from cyber threats

41 percent of the businesses found are not prepared for cyber threats and 31 percent of its IT personnel are not fully aware about the latest Trojans, according to a research conducted by B2B International and the largest antivirus company in Europe Kaspersky Lab.

To help the businesses to protect their proprietary data and intellectual properties from being stolen or leaked, Kaspersky Lab launched its second version of Kaspersky Small Office Security (KSOS 2) which is special designed for small businesses that with limited work stations and without IT personnel but need a high level of customizable security.

KSOS 2 can be set-up, configured and administered easily from a single PC without prior training and provides optimal security for small business computer infrastructure and data, with minimal impact on system resources while being affordable even for companies with tiny IT budgets.

The update antivirus and Internet security solution comes with server protection, back-up, encryption, web-use policy and password management for critical small business safety. According to a survey conducted by the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business and Network Solutions in 2010, employees at small companies spend up to 24 percent of their working hours on social networks. The employers can utilize the feature of Web Policy Management to prevent the employees spend time on social network during working hours as well as for confidential data protection.

The solution is priced within range of event the smallest companies, starting from RM750 per year, subject to the packages taken by the employer.
