FreeYond, a consumer tech company based in Shenzhen, has launched its brand and products in Malaysia at The St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. The company introduced eight new products at the launch event, including two smartphones, two smartwatches, and one True Wireless Stereo (TWS) headset. In addition, FreeYond also announced three upcoming smartphones that will be available in Malaysia soon. The launch event was attended by YB Fahmi Fadzil, the Minister of Communications and Digital Malaysia.
With a focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, FreeYond aims to establish itself in the region as a leader in cost-effective, high-performance, and fashionable design products. The company’s expansion to Southeast Asia followed an angel round investment of nearly CNY 100 million (RM64,624,380) from a Malaysian consortium led by Datuk Eddie Chai, a well-known Malaysian investor.
FreeYond’s smartphones, M5 and F9, feature an AI Triple Camera setup with a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The M5 also has a 6.52-inch screen with a high refresh rate of 90Hz and 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. The F9 has 64GB or 128GB high-speed ROM, a 13MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 5,000mAh battery for all-day usage.
The FreeYond Watch S1 and FreeYond Watch F1 are designed for fitness enthusiasts and lifestyle-conscious consumers. They offer a range of advanced features that enable users to track their fitness, monitor their health, and stay connected on the go.
