Sept 4, 2013 (Wed): Ericsson, a world-leading provider of communications technology and services, will invest SEK 7 billion (RM3.48 billion) to setup 3 global ICT Centers as the new platforms for more than 24,000 Ericsson R&D engineers around the world, supporting their lean and agile ways of working. The centers will house the company’s complete portfolio, enabling the R&D organization to develop and verify solutions, creating the foundation for the next generation technology and cloud-based services.
The first center is located in Stockholm, Sweden and will be ready by end of this year. Another will be in Linkoping, Sweden and Montreal, Canada and these two ICT Centers will begin initial operations from end of 2014 and from early 2015 respectively.
