Don’t Buy Products with Attractive Price Tag Online

Jun 5, 2014 (Thu): The MCA Public Services and Complaints Department Head, Datuk Michael Chong revealed that online scamming is on the rise, with six cases amounting over RM79,000 losses reported to them last month, the Sun Daily reports.

According to Chong, the online scam victims were lured by the attractive terms. The scammers will post a proper advertisement online together with an account number. After payment made, the products purchased either never delivered or different as as advertised such as the components and products are fake.

Chong urged the public to be careful when purchasing products online and never trust products that come with attractive price tag.
