CIMB Deploys New Core Banking Systems to Increase Its Service Levels
Feb 24, 2014 (Mon): CIMB Group has announced that it has successfully installed a new core banking system named 1Platform in Malaysia to upgrade capacity and service levels as well as homogenise its operating systems across the region.
CIMB Malaysia is the third CIMB entity to have successfully implemented 1Platform. CIMB has rolled out 1Platform in Singapore and Thailand in 2011 and 2012 respectively. CIMB aims to roll out the similar platform in Indonesia by end 2015.
According to CIMB, 1Platform customers can look forward to improvements in service from CIMB which is much less “down-times” and operates at quicker speeds. Besides, customers will have region-wide recognition once the entire regional 1Platform is complete. After the Migration, Malaysian customers will carry new account numbers which ne needed for cross border recognition in the future. However, the original numbers remain valid.
