Recently Microsoft Corp launched Microsoft YouthSpark, its new global initiative aims to create opportunities for 300 million young people in more than 100 countries over the next three years. The grant of US$300,000 from the Microsoft YouthSpark scheme has been allocated for the development of young entrepreneurs aged 16 to 25 on ICT applications in the Southeast Asia region.

Microsoft Corp and ASEAN Foundation will work with some non-government organizations to reach 20,000 youth, women and students from 1,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, Thailand, The Philippines and Vietnam, to tackle the regional jobless rate rising issue.
