2015: 3 giant ICT companies will be established under PUsh
Malaysia’s Primie Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak launched Push Initiative yesterday, to help elevate the performance of Bumiputera entrepreneurs in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. This initiative will be jointly carried by the New Entrepreneurs Foundation and Malaysian Association of Bumiputera ICT industry and Entrepreneurs with provision fund of RM50 million under the 2013 budget.
According to Najib, the selected Bumiputera entrepreneurs will be merged to form 3 global giant ICT companies in collaboration with government agencies such as Multimedia Development Corporation, Agensi Inovasi Malaysia, Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera, Malaysia Venture Capital Management Bhd (Mavcap) and the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
He urged all other government agencies to join the PUsh initiative to strengthen the Bumiputera equity in the country’s economic structure.
